Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains what Synq collects, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, timezone, and authentication identifiers.
- Career Vault content: roles, achievements, metrics, and documents you add so the resume engine can write grounded bullets.
- Media: 30-second video pitches and their transcripts, stored so recruiters you apply to can play them.
- Application activity: jobs you approve, submission receipts, evidence captured during automated filing, and recruiter feedback.
- Product telemetry: basic usage and error events used to keep the automation reliable.
How we use it
- To generate tailored resumes and cover letters from content you supplied.
- To file applications you approved and prove they were submitted.
- To show recruiters the profile, fit breakdown, and pitch attached to your application.
- To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support you when something breaks.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your Career Vault content to train third-party foundation models.
AI processing
Drafting and verification run through third-party model providers under agreements that prohibit using submitted content for model training. Only the text needed for the task is sent.
Who can see your data
Recruiters see your profile, pitch, and fit breakdown only for roles you applied to, or through a public pitch link you chose to share. Public links expire and can be revoked at any time.
Retention and your controls
- You can edit or delete Career Vault entries, resumes, and pitches at any time.
- Deleting your account removes your profile, media, and vault content.
- Submission receipts may be retained where needed to resolve disputes.
- To request an export or deletion, email privacy@careeragent.ai.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is scoped per user by row-level policies, and media is served through short-lived signed URLs.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the product before the change takes effect.
